Splendor of Nature

While sitting on a chair in my balcony with my both legs resting over the iron grill, I was watching the green trees and the blissful dance of birds flying over them. Trees were standing straight with a dignified silence as if not wanting to mingle with the creatures of the physical world. Their aura had spread in the atmosphere the vibrations of tranquility. Their moving leaves exhibiting their blissful state, and their unperturbedness over the chirping of birds exuding their vast character. In the utter chaos of today’s world, for a normal mortal, maintaining such a demeanor is impossible.

It was evening and the sky had been cloudy since morning. I told my friend in the morning that it would rain, and he seemed to agree. Now, we were expecting rain. I was just appraising the magnificence of nature when it started to drizzle. With a smile on my lips, I kept my legs intact over the iron grill to make the small raindrops touch my feet. Raindrops started to touch my feet and soon my feet became wet with raindrops spread all over. What a sensation!! Simply out of the world. It felt as if the purest thing had touched me, and the effect of which was a shiver that ran through my whole body. Raindrops were falling directly from the heaven with no impurity in them.

I asked my friend to prepare a cup of tea, and to my utmost surpise he agreed without throwing any tantrums. I guess he himself felt the need for a cup of tea in such a wonderful weather. I just told him to do something that he had already decided to do.

Suddenly a different kind of atmosphere had got created. Dark clouds had spread all over the sky. The air that had been warm before the rain started suddenly became cold. Raindrops were falling over the leaves and creating some sound, and the beauty of it was that the sound had no noise in it. It had a feel of contentment and silence. There was no more chirping of birds. All had taken shelter in their homes.

I looked at the horizon. The pattern made by the raindrops and clouds was so beautiful that it would be hard even for the best painter to capture it in his canvas. One could capture the outer aspects of that phenomena, but not the inner feel of it.

Soon dense clouds began to disperse, and it stopped raining. After a few moments, birds started to chirp again, but this time their chirping had an energy of more exuberance. Trees also looked more content and blissful.

It felt as if beauty came for a moment, smiled, and left everyone happy with a good feeling :)
